Wonderful Museum Salina Turda of Romania

Salina Turda was a salt mine situated in Turda, Transylvania, Romania and it was converted into an underworld theme park in 1992. The mine was originally established by hand and machine in the 17th century and from 1992, Salina Turda has been a halotherapy center and a popular tourist attraction.

Salina Turda holds some unexpected pleasures. The mine's ferris wheel, bowling alley, mini golf course, amphitheatre and boat ride on the lake are the main attraction for the tourists.

Inside the salt mine or museum the temperature remains constant at a 10–12 °C (50–54 °F) all the time, at any time of the year. Humidity in the air remains constant, too, at about 75-80%. Visitors play mini golf, bowls and billiards or simply relax in futuristic rest rooms and breathe in the salty atmosphere which many consider to be beneficial to health, all of this hundreds of meters below the ground.
